Some 200,000 Filipinos served with American troops during World War II. About 18,000 of those Filipino veterans are alive today and we have an opportunity as the younger generation of all nationalities to recognize and greet these brave soldiers who fought alongside the US Military on behalf of Freedom.

In conjunction with the inaugural Barong Invitational awards ceremony, a special event will be held Friday evening, August 28th at the Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale, NJ to honor the FILIPINO WORLD WAR II VETERANS.

Please join us and enjoy a casual evening with family and friends to celebrate the lives, meet the veterans and share a moment with men who have gone unrecognized for many years. Let’s give them the “THANK YOU” they deserved and make it a special event for them. (Photo Credit: Chris Cabrera: Khowaga)=0=

Cost: $30 per person
Event includes appetizers, buffet style meal, sodas, juices and beer

Everyone interested in attending should RSVP by AUGUST 15th and provide email address to Eduardo Pena at eduardopena@gmail.com
