After the “accident” that caused Tiger Woods and his luxury car to crash on a hydrant and a tree, the scandal about his promiscuity with women has hounded and disgraced the best golfer in town. His defenders are quick to point out sex addiction as the one to blame for Tiger’s marital problem. After all he has apologized for his extramarital escapades last week and he was silent thereafer.

There is little mention about morality now. People interested about Tiger's seemingly perfect life don’t want to allude on responsibility anymore----a reminder that liberalism has marginalized traditional thinking on righteousness.

Instead of shame, a string of women is proud to be called Tiger’s mistress. The 10th to come out in the open to claim a Tiger Woods' affair and ride on his popularity is another sexy porn star---39 year old Joslyn James who consider herself as Wood’s “fulltime” mistress.

PostHeaderIcon Sex with a horse brings a five-year sentence

On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, Rodell Vereen, a 50 year old man from Longs, South Carolina was sentenced to three years in prison in violation of a probation. He pleaded guilty of engaging in equine intercourse in 2007. He was first charged and convicted of buggery and trespassing at that time after a woman, a horse owner in Conway, SC found him in her barn at Lazy B. Stables on Thanksgiving day.

With a video tape to prove the crime, the woman caught Vereen having sexual intercourse with Sugar, a 21-year-old female horse. Expressing regrets, the man said:

"I'm sorry about what I've done,'' Vereen said. "I didn't mean to do it. It's my fault. I'm sorry for what I've done to myself.''----http://wvgazette.com (11/04/09)

This time, for the second offense, according to the verdict, Vereen who works in a landscaping company will have to spend three years in jail and undergo probation for another two years. PostHeaderIcon Gay marriage loses popular vote in Maine

In a referendum in Maine for or against homosexual marriages, the proponents of same-sex unions were defeated with a vote of 53% in majority (87%) of the polling places. Voters were asked if they wanted to rescind the gay marriage approval passed by Maine legislators and signed by its democrat governor John Baldacci.

Yes, Maine citizens voted to repeal it. Advocates of traditional marriage---that is between a man and a woman were jubilant that marriage between opposite sexes had been preserved Maine as in most states in the country. Gay union supporters however were not happy.

Same-sex weddings have been approved legal in only 5 states namely — Iowa, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. The decisions for these were through legislations not through popular vote.

“For the gay rights movement, which has gained a foothold in New England, it was a stinging defeat. Gay marriage has now lost in every state — 31 in all — in which it has been put to a popular vote. Gay-rights activists had hoped to buck that trend in Maine, framing same-sex marriage as a matter of equality for all families in a campaign that used 8,000 volunteers to get out the message.”---AP (11/04/09, Curran J.)

At the consternation of of gay activists and supporters, leaders pledged they would continue to fight for the legalization of homosexual unions which they think are no different from heterosexual relationships. This fight is part of the liberal, relativist morality, and secular agenda that seek to replace the long-held beliefs of majority of conservative Americans.

PostHeaderIcon Polanksi held in Zurich for rape committed three decades ago

After escaping sentencing for a statutory rape of a 13 year old in Beverly Hills, California in 1978, acclaimed director Roman Polanski was taken into custody in Zurich, Switzerland. The controversial film director was arrested on the basis of an extradition and Swiss authorities coordinated with US legal officials to decide whether he would be sent back to the United States to face the law.

“Polanski, now 76 and a married father of two, asked the court to throw out the entire case based on new allegations of prosecutorial and judicial misconduct detailed in an HBO documentary last year. The L.A. district attorney’s office argued that he could not make such a request while a fugitive, and an L.A. judge earlier this year agreed. The Hollywood fugitive, Polanski, a French citizen dodged arrest for decades,. He arrived on Saturday, September 26, 2009 in the Swiss capital city to attend the Zurich Film festival honoring his cinematic works. Officials of the film event were flabbergasted over Polanski’s arrest. The director was behind celebrated films like Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown, and the Pianist which won him an Academy award in 2002.

Disregarding the crime, French and Polish political and cultural elite defended Polanski and asked for his release. Artists and film makers also wanted the director’s freedom questioning the motive behind the arrest.

In New York’s Soho district where thousands pass by everyday, Calvin Klein compnay has put up a 50-foot billboard advertising. Two young men, a woman and another man are in explicit pose with strong sexual undertones illumined high above the street.

Semi-nude man and woman are shown kissing. Another man is embracing. With navel exposed and a flat abdomen heaving, a confused guy undresses to the verge of the mon pubis----something that corporate business brings to sell blue jeans fast.

But many people aren’t happy. Parents are bothered by the racy poster which shows the disturbing unnatural sexual message to children. Even if others justify the risqué billboard claiming that “obscenity is on the eyes of the beholder,” Randy Sharp, the director of special projects for the American Family Association, vehemently protests with many others:

"Not only the billboard, but a company -- a corporate giant in America -- feels it appropriate to put a semi-nude photograph in a major billboard in a high-traffic area where tens of thousands of children see this kind of activity going on... If it were going on in the back of a parking lot with steamed windows, they would be arrested, and yet they broadcast it to a whole city."----ABC News (06/17/09, Donaldson James, S)

With liberalism all around, this is the kind of lewd advertising people get. There are reasons to be concerned and concerned citizens are justified to voice their displeasure.

That’s why members of the organization who find the ad disgusting have flooded the Calvin Klein Co. with thousands of email complaints against the sexualized billboard. It’s something the jean company wants---- Perhaps, to foment cultural and moral discord in pursuit of that attention which brings sales in the cash register. As the Los Angeles County Health authorities announced of a sex worker having contracted HIV in the last five years, they say 16 more porn stars had been infected by the dreaded virus.

Public Health Officials said the 16 cases of HIV/AIDS were not investigated and unpublicized because of privacy rules enforced before 2006 which prohibited the disclosure of names to government agencies. It was unclear whether all of them got their illness at work.

“No state laws specifically require condom use and the vast majority of heterosexual porn movies are shot "bareback," an industry term for unprotected sex.

State labor codes, however, do require use of personal protective equipment and protection against blood or bodily fluids in the workplace. Since 2004, five adult entertainment companies have been cited for a variety of violations. Each case has been settled, state officials said.

Since 2004, 2,378 people who identified themselves as adult film industry performers have tested positive for chlamydia in Los Angeles County. Since the San Fernando Valley is a leading pornography capital which has an annual income of $12 billion dollars, employs more than 1,200 sex performers under at least 200 productions. For those who follow the Kho-Halili sex video scandal, the senate investigation for the purpose of “legislation” brings more questions than answers. Instead of truth coming out from Dr. Hayden Kho and starlet Katrina Halili, their testimonies are confusing----one couldn’t be sure where truth and lies start and end. Stable minds are wondering why such a vulgar erotic affair has become a circus in the senate distracting the public from more important issues.

It’s embarrassing that the entire nation is dragged into the salaciousness of sex that comes from an immature cosmetic surgeon and a budding young actress. In a fit of anger, a man doused water on the surgeon during the probe. Everybody becomes the guardian of morals as the perplexing details of private lives are revealed.

The Philippine Medical Association (PMA) takes interest in finding the truth about Dr. Hayden Kho and another girl-lover, Dr. Vicky Belo---that sensational lady-doctor who specializes on bringing celebrities, medical science, and the aesthetics of the human body together.

But on the side, one can’t ignore a poor man's dirty video business which comes along with the scandal. Illegal copies of the skin flicks of Kho and Halili are peddled like hotcakes coincident to their televised infamy. Even the old sex movies of faded actors and actresses in Philippine cinema have stirred renewed interest. Once again pornographic films have a come back in the Manila and in the provinces.

The senate must do its job well. This kind of investigation has the potential to excite the sexual fantasies of the entire nation without safeguarding the morals of the people. A sex video scandal reached the Philippine senate faster than the alleged military corruption in the US-RP Balikatan fund as alleged by Lt. Nancy Gadian. In a privilege speech, Sen. Ramon Revilla, Jr. castigated a certain Dr. Hayden Kho for taking a sex video of himself and starlet Katrina Halili, his girlfriend--- then showing the raunchy clips in the internet. The accused cosmetic surgeon had similar perversions done to other women which angered Sen. Revilla and feminist groups like Gabriela.

“I have also been informed that there are at least two other sex videos involving the same man with other women. These videos show explicit sexual acts and were obviously taken without the consent of the women,” Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr. said. Philstar (o5/20/09, Calica, A)

One wonders why such a doctor who is held in high regard can be so immature, short-sighted and reckless. Such obscene actions of Dr. Kho are deplored by the public. His alleged misconduct tarnishes the trust that people readily give to the healing profession.

There are those who demand that Kho’s medical license be revoked by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC). In addition, Revilla wants the passage of a law against voyeurism and the display of sex videos. The sensational rape case of Nicole against US marine Lance Cpl. Daniel Smith went into an abrupt end when the accuser turned back from her allegations, overturning the guilty verdict--- giving the alleged American rapist an acquittal. The public wasn’t completely sure of what happened, but there are those who suspect the US embassy in Manila had something to do with Nicole’s change of heart. Before the acquittal, Nicole was awarded about P100,000----as a compensatory damage given by Smith. The US serviceman didn't ask to bring back the cash upon his acquittal.

NIcole said it was in a fit of drunkenness that she had sex with Smith. She and the serviceman man went on separate ways after the acquittal, both leaving for the United States. That was a cumbersome sensational coverage of their legal battle in the Philippines which has some adverse ffect on how the country looks at crime, particularly rape--- those committed by foreigners.

After Nicole, comes Vanessa who also cries rape against another US serviceman. It’s too early to tell if this woman is telling the truth. Evidence to prove her case hasn’t been laid in the open. The 22-year old Pinay alleges that she was forced into having sex with the US serviceman in a plush Makati hotel on April 19, 2009. It’s reported she sought medico-legal examination after the incident.

Helped by Gabriela, a pro-woman human rights group, Vanessa is mulling on whether to charge her alleged attacker. Perhaps because of the outcome of Nicole’s rape case, Vanessa, hasn’t decided if she’ll pursue her accusations. PostHeaderIcon American serviceman’s acquittal could discourage future lawsuits against rape by foreigners

After a protracted trial of US Marine Lance Corporal Daniel Smith who was accused and found guilty of rape, the Court of Appeals (CA) on review of the case, reversed the decision. He was earlier sentenced to 40 years in prison while criminal charges on his companions namely, Smith, Staff Sgt. Chad Carpentier, and Lance Corporals Keith Silkwood and Dominic Duplantis were dropped.

Accused by a 23 year-old Filipina named Nicole, Smith who was part of US troop contingent participating in a military exercise, was acquitted after “a careful and judicious perusal of evidence” did not convince Associate Justice Monina Arevalo-Zenarosa of his guilt. After his acquittal on Friday, April 24, 2009, the American serviceman was released from detention and immediately left the country.

Nicole who is now in the United States received P100,000 from the accused as compensatory damage ruled by the Regional Trial Court of Makati City. On March 12, 2009, she recanted and signed an affidavit expressing doubts on the accuracy of her testimony that Smith raped her. She said she was too drunk to ever know.



The case drew street rallies in Manila which find the overturned rape conviction degrading to Filipinos. Angry protesters slammed the RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement which they believe is lopsided in favor of the Americans. They suspected Nicole have been pressured to recant her accusations to the detriment of other women who might be placed in a similar situation.

Sen. Francis Escudero aired his dissatisfaction over the CA decision saying, ““It’s really saddening to see that Filipinos, who have been victims of discrimination overseas, are even placed at a disadvantage against foreigners in their own country.”

“Before fingers are pointed at Nicole again for doing a disservice to her own defense by virtue of her retraction and the choice for a normal life, we stand firm to our view that Daniel Smith’s acquittal is nothing but a consummated process of betrayal perpetrated by both the US and the Philippine governments,”----Partido ng Mangagawa spokesman Judy Ann Miranda Philstar.com (04/265/09, Calica, A)

Blistering reactions came from Sens. Loren Legarda, Pia Cayetano, Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, Caloocan Bishop Deogracias Iniguez and Zamboanga Rep. Maria Isabel Climaco-Salazar.

Organizations like the Partido ng Manggagawa (PM,) Association of Major Religious Superiors of the Philippines (AMRSP,) Bikolano Alliance for Nationalism against Balikatan (BAN BALIKATAN,) Gabriela and EnGendeRights joined the government leaders in assailing CA’s decision of setting Smith off the hook.

It looked like a “happy” ending for Nicole and Daniel. But the case stirred fresh opposition to the American military presence in the Philippines and opened new accusations of RP’s subservience to the United States as reflected in RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement. After the his conviction (pending result of the appeal,) Smith was handled by the US embassy and not by the Philippine prison.

Street protests were held condemning the CA decision; irate Filipinos felt they got the bitter part of an insulting deciison. Doubts lingered whether justice was served. The suspicion of “behind the scene” maneuvers that absolved the US marine of culpability remained. During the alleged rape it was clear Nicole was too drunk to have the mental faculties to decide for a “consensual” sex.

It's outrageous how the justice system of the country is manipulated to suit an ending that is expedient, but detrimental to the credibility of the courts. Skin flick actress Marilyn Chambers, 56, was found dead in her home by her 17 year old daughter on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. A post mortem exam will be done to find out the cause of death.

‘“She was a pioneer, and an amazingly secure woman. I admired her for being at the forefront of an industry that was so taboo when she started,” said Jenna Jameson, currently one of the industry’s biggest stars." ---AP/ MSNBC (04/13/09)

Chambers whose name was Marilyn Taylor aka Marilyn Briggs was married and divorced three times; she lived in a mobile home in Santa Clarita near Los Angeles, California. The blonde sex star appeared in adult films “ Behind the Green Door,” ” “Resurrection of Eve,” “Inside Marilyn Chambers” and other hardcore movies which attracted audiences for sex-themed movies--- thriving since the 1970’s.

UPDATES: April 15, 2009. The Los Angeles County coroner office says the post mortem exam made on Ms. Chambers didn't reveal a clear-cut cause of death. Los Angeles County coroner's assistant chief Ed Winter thinks that that adult XXX-rated star probably died of natural causes, yet more tests has to be done to arrive at a solid conclusion.

May 18, 2009: The Los Angeles coroner's office disclosed that autopsy findings revealed Chambers died of natural causes. She suffered from cerebral hemorrhage arising from an aneurysm. Among the most alarming images I have seen lately is the picture of a four-foot tall, baby-faced Alfie Patten, the British boy who at 13 fathered a newborn girl. Sadly, little can be said, but much has to be done, about the immature kid and his infant whose heart-breaking photo appeared in the front page of the The Sun. The young mom is Alfie’s 15 year-old girlfriend Chantelle Steadman.

"It's an indication that we've lost our way, that people don't know the difference between right and wrong," he said of Alfie. 'The plain fact is society can't proceed on this basis. In another vein, in California, USA, Nadya Suleman, a 33-year old, jobless woman who has been battling emotional instability gave birth to octuplets (8 babies) by in-vitro fertilization (IVF) done a fertility MD against the standard of medical practice. Before the birth of her 8 babies, Nadya who shares a 3 bedroom home with her financially bankrupt parents has 6 children from previous assisted pregnancies.

It's debated how the unmarried woman who lives on welfare will be able to take care of her 14 children. The hospital bills she has incurred are beyond the roof. With meager sense of accountability, she has hired a PR person to handle her book deals, TV interviews, and appeals for donations to keep her kids.

Great Britain suffers from inordinately high rate of teen pregnancies, petty thievery, alcoholism, and rampant street crimes among teenagers. America has problems which mirror these problems as well. The featherless chicken developed by scientists of the Rehovot Agronomy Institute in Tel Aviv,Israel has received mixed reviews. Bred from a meaty broiler and a featherless bird, the naked chicken is thought to be genetic engineering’s answer to the costly cooling systems needed to raise fowls in places with hot weather. Without the feathers, preparing the chicken for dinner will be easier.

Yet, others disagree. Feathers are essential natural protection of fowls from changes of weather and infestations of parasites. Constrained in movement, the birds suffer. Without feathers, they become susceptible to skin diseases, mosquito bites, and sunburn. Naked chickens cannot mate because they are clumsy and unable to flap their wings.

Those concerned with the welfare of animals say humans have no business making the chickens ugly. It’s obscene to tinker with genes, produce “frankenfood” for the convenience of the poultry industry. Photo Credits: www.nextnature.net; xtywebworks) =0=
