America honors heroes on Memorial day

America's fighting men and women sacrifice much to ensure that our great nation stays free. We owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers that have paid the ultimate price for this cause, as well as for those who are blessed enough to return from the battlefield unscathed.”----Allen Boyd

On March 25, 2009, the United States remembers and honors those who died for their country. The Memorial day is intended to pay tribute to all those who put their life on the line in America’s wars.

From the time of the civil conflicts that gave birth to American democracy to the wars that brought dedicated soldiers to the theaters of combat in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, and more recently to Iraq and Afghanistan, the heroism and sacrifices of countless men and women are recalled with gratitude.
