Lakad Tulong: a fundraiser for the typhoon victims

2009 Lakad Tulong

The Filipino American Community of the Northeastern Region is sponsoring a 3-mile walkathon this coming Sunday, October 11, 2009.

After the registration at 8 AM, the walkathon will follow at 9 AM. The walk will start in front of the City Hall at 280 Grove St. in New Jersey. There will be a tax deductible registration fee of $25.00 for each walker. The fundraising activity will benefit the Handang Tumulong Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of calamities in the Philippines.

As Filipinos, we are are encouraged to support this project by participating in the walk and/or by soliciting donation from relatives, supporters and friends.
